Brief history of Blueberry Pond Campground

1. The campground was started in 1974 from an old blueberry field that was returning to native woods. A hand pump for water and one outhouse for every two sides. Each site was 1/2 acre. There were 24 sites.
2. 1975 a gravity fed hot water shower was added.
3. 1988 Electricity was added. By the end of the summer there were six sites with water and electric hookups.
4. 1989 A wash house with flush toilets and showers handicapped accessible had been added.
5. 1990 Sewer hookups were added.
6. 1991 We added eleven more sites, keeping a separate tenting area.
7. By 1993 we have eleven sites with water, electric and sewer. Also four with only water and electric. Twenty tent sites grassy and wooded.
8. We continued to be a quiet, off the main road Campground offering secluded sites for both recreational vehicles and a separate area for tenters.
